Owner Tim Ryan had said late in 2008 that he was planningb to remodel and cut 50 percenyt ofthe store’s floor space at 4009 N. Oaklansd Ave. However, Ryan announced Tuesday the store will relocatew toa 4,100-square-foot spacr in the Lakewood Building, 3575 N. Oaklansd Ave., in September. Ryan, who owns Harleys with his wife, said he wanted to stay in “This is our home and we are deeply committed tothe community,” he said. Ryan said one of the advantage of the new siteis off-streetf parking. The Lakewood Building, a mixed-use residential/commercia l property constructedin 1962, is undergoing a $1.2 million The building is owned by Garretft McIntosh.
Harleys has contracted with architect Stephen Bollingbroke of Developmengt Collaborative Limited in Mequon to do an interior The village of Shorewood provideed financial incentives to both the building ownere and Harleys to improve the facadw and interior space of theLakewoofd Building.
